Even as a wedding photographer I have noticed how names of styles of wedding photography have changed over the years. For a long time, the popular brief was to ask for reportage style photography which basically meant, candid and not posed. Now, this same style has a new name of Street Photography. Yet the man that is credited as the first in this style was Henri Cartier-Bresson Born in France 1908, a French humanist photographer considered a master of candid photography and an early user of 35 mm film. One of my favourite quotes by him is this… “It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson.
